This is the first time I am taking the full schedule in again since it was first announced. There are more than a couple of things I don’t like about it. The early bye week is the biggest one. Football is a grind and the late chunk of the season is hectic enough for the Lions with the added short week of Thanksgiving. I would rather see a later bye, especially if they off to a hot start.

Before the bye week I see four games this team could win, and at least two they should win. That will depend a lot on how Louis Delmas returns for surgery, how effective Kevin Smith can be carrying the load in the running game, and how motivated this team is to get a good start under their belts. At San Francisco is the first test early.

That middle chunk of games is also troubling. From week six to week 10 the Lions will play four games on the road, and just one at home. Again they could win all of those games, but we are not far enough along to know what kind of Lions we will see in 2012. Week 11 to week 17 has the Lions playing 5 of 7 at Ford Field and that should mean very favorable results. There are some tough matchups there, but again we are not far enough along to really know what kind of team this will be in December.

Check this page often as it will have all the scores, won-loss records, and anything else of note. Keep checking back to detroitjockcity.com for where to find your Detroit Lions on TV, the internet, or radio.
