2012 Detroit Lions roster: Defense

facebooktwitterreddit

The 2012 Detroit Lions defense does not have a ton of surprises. In all, the only move we here at DJC didn’t really see coming was the decision to release CB Alphonso Smith. We were big supporters of him, for no particular reason really. It is easy to fall into fandoms like that, over the years all of us here have rooted for the underdog, the player who sort of showed up on day. The guy who is not the star, but energizes the fan base anyways. Detroit is that kind of sports town, and even the staff of DJC is not immune to it. The Lions decided to remake the secondary not with clear upgrades, but with fresh faces. We shall see how that plays out.

Before we get any further here is a look at teh 2102 Lions defenders:

1.Ndamukong Suh
2.Corey Williams
3.Sammie Hill
4.Nick Fairley

Again, it does not seem like this is the roster that will play against the St. Louis Rams in a week. Already there are rumors that the Lions have signed Drayton Florence. We are still waiting official word on that though.
