The Detroit Pistons’ three-game road trip got off to bad start when they let a fourth quarter lead slip away against the Bulls in Chicago. Getting back on the winning track will be no easy task as the Pistons face the Heat in Miami. The Pistons should enter with some confidence, having beaten the Heat 109-99 at the Palace four weeks ago.
However, the Heat played that game without Dwyane Wade who was suspended. Wade will be playing this time around and he just so happens to be coming off his highest scoring game of the season and feeling good:
“I think I have been playing decent,” said Wade, who is 24 of 39 (61.5 percent) from the field in the last two games. “I just want to stay focused and hope to have the ability to have more games like this.”
LeBron James scored 35 points in their first meeting while Chris Bosh added 28. The Pistons overcame that by shooting 12-19 from three point range. Can they contend with another Heat superstar and put together a similar shooting performance? They will have to if they are to make it two straight over the Heat.
Prediction: Heat 102, Pistons 91
