When you’re going to a basketball game, it is somewhat important to not only know what time it begins, but what day it is to be played. Especially if you’re going to lie about being there.
Ohio State president Gordon Gee got caught in a little twitter fib this evening when he said that he, and apparently many other excited Buckeyes fans, were ready for the men’s basketball game against Wisconsin.
Just one problem. Ohio State hosts Wisconsin tomorrow night.
Many excited Buckeyes in the Schott tonight—including me!Ready for the men’s basketball game against Wisconsin.

Remember, this is the same man who once said he just hoped Jim Tressel wouldn’t fire him as an air of impropriety settled over Columbus. Don’t worry, they totally have institutional control.
How did Gee go about explaining the mistake? About as terribly as he possible could:
Just seeing who was paying attention out there. Will try again tomorrow night.
