The Pistons have some ground to make up if they are to challenge for a playoffs spot in the Eastern Conference. Just four games back of the eighth seed, currently occupied by the suddenly Rajon Rondo-less Boston Celtics, the Detroit Pistons have an opportunity to make a push towards the postseason. To do so, they will have to beat the teams around them in the standings. Tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks is an opportunity to do just that. The Bucks are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Pistons have been a decent team at home this season with a 12-10 record. They will need to be that and a little bit more to make good use of three week stretch in which they will play eight of their next 11 games at home.

This will be the third meeting between the Bucks and Pistons this year. The Pistons won in Milwaukee on December 30 and beat the Bucks again at the Palace on January 11. Can the make it three in a row?

Prediction: Pistons 98, Bucks 96
