Big Home Wins over Cavaliers Becoming Routine for Pistons

The Detroit Pistons moved to a perfect 3-0 against the Cleveland Cavaliers this season with a 117-99 win at the Palace on Friday. While the result may have been surprising considering the Pistons were shorthanded following the trade that sent Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye out of town, such games are becoming routine between these teams.

That goes back to last season when the Pistons beat the Cavs 116-77 in mid-April. In between, the Pistons posted a comparitively modest ten point win in early December.

The Pistons success has extended to the games played in Cleveland as well. It was a 104-97 victory back on December 8. Add in a 87-75 win in Cleveland last March and the Pistons winning streak over the Cavs sits at five games regardless of location.

The Cavaliers and Pistons meet once more in 2013 – April 10 in Cleveland.
