Titus Young Released By Detroit Lions

In a move that surprises no one, the Detroit Lions have officially parted ways with Titus Young, Anwar Richardson of MLive reports.

Young wasn’t really shy about letting his feelings known this offseason when he took to Twitter with selfish “I need the ball” posts. And this came after a season in which he was benched for purposely running the wrong routes. A knee injury officially ended his season early, but he appeared to be on his way out anyway.

With Nate Burleson and Ryan Broyles both recovering from injuries, and Young now out of the picture, the Lions have nothing but a big question mark behind Calvin Johnson at the wide receiver position. It is a running joke, but the Lions will need to seriously look at receivers in April’s NFL Draft.
