Brandon Knight was apparently listed as day-to-day this morning after suffering a hyperextended knee Wednesday night versus the Bobcats, but, according to multiple reports, he was ruled out later this afternoon by the Pistons’ staff.

The injury looked to be fairly severe at the time, but it was quickly determined to be hyperextension, and Knight even tried to return to the game in the fourth quarter. He comeback was short lived; Knight only made it up and down the floor once before his severe limp forced the team to call a timeout to remove him from the game.

It’s not yet clear whether this injury will keep him out of further action or if he’ll be able to return in some form even as soon as tomorrow. Either way, he’ll likely retain his “day-to-day” status for a little while.

The play in which he suffered the injury can be seen in the video clip below.
