A lot of talk leading up to the Daytona 500 centered around Danica Patrick (#10, GoDaddy.com) after she became the first woman to win the pole at the Daytona 500. She didn’t end up winning the race, but she sat in the top-10 for much of the afternoon, and made history twice more in the process. She became the first woman to lead a green-flag lap in the Daytona 500 and her eventual 8th place finish was the best result by a woman as well.

Jimmie Johnson (#48, Lowe’s) took the checkered flag for the second Daytona 500 win of his career. Michigan native Brad Keselowski finished 4th.

Here’s how the top ten finished:

1. Jimmie Johnson #48

2. Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88

3. Mark Martin #55

4. Brad Keselowski #2

5. Ryan Newman #5

6. Greg Biffle #16

7. Regan Smith #51

8. Danica Patrick #10

9. Michael McDowell #98

10. J.J. Yeley #36
