Detroit Pistons Guard Will Bynum Suspended for Punching Tyler Hansbrough

It wasn’t a good weekend for the Detroit Pistons against the Indiana Pacers. First, they suffered their worst loss of the season in a 114-82 game at Indiana on Friday. Then it was a season-low 72 points in an 18-point home loss to the Pacers on Saturday night.

To add insult to injury, the Pistons won’t be able to simply put those two games behind them thanks to an incident in Saturday night’s game. Will Bynum was screed by Tyler Hansbrough and rather than bumping and going around the Pacers forward, Bynum gave him a shot to the gut.

The play got Bynum ejected from the game and the league has already announced that he will sit an additional game as a result of suspension. That leaves the Pistons shorthanded when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.
