Trey Burke Named Wooden Award Finalist

Those who watch college basketball regularly already know Michigan point guard Trey Burke is one of the game’s best players. Today that became official when Burke was among the list of players named as finalists for the John R. Wooden National Player of the Year Award.

With the Big Ten the unquestioned top conference in college basketball this year, it comes as no surprise to see four Big Ten players in the list of 15 finalists. Burke is joined by Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller of Indiana and Deshaun Thomas of Ohio State.

The winner will be announced on ESPN during Final Four weekend.
