In a matter of moments, Lion fans went from restless too overwhelmed. Martin Mayhew made a bevy of moves, beginning with the re-signing of Chris Houston. Houston’s deal is reportedly for five years and $25 million with $15 million due in the first three seasons.
Then came Ndamukong Suh restructuring his deal. This move free’s over $7 million in cap space for the Lions, indicating (to me at least) that a move or two is on the way.
Misspoke on amount potentially cleared by @ndamukong_suh restructure. Max amount $7.6 million. That would increase 14 cap number to $21.38M

With the news of defensive lineman Jason Jones, who is a Detroit native, making his first visit to the Lions, the two sides seemed destined to get a deal done. Today they did. He reportedly will get a three year deal, after recording 18.5 sacks his first five seasons in the league.
Jason Jones’ deal with the #Lions is a three-year deal, according to a league source.
