It was Thursday, December 20th, 2012 at approximately 3:50 P.M. Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo awaited the decision of a high school phenomenon, who he subsequently bet his entire recruiting class on, named Jabari Parker. As Izzo and his staff awaited the word of the No.2 recruit in the 2013 class, the entire Spartan fan-base collectively began to see the inevitable. What if Parker chooses Duke? Who will Izzo turn to?
Parker opted to play for Duke and coach Krzyzewski. Now, Izzo may take a step towards answering those questions.
Schilling is a three-star recruit according to Rivals, Scout, and ESPN, who attended Villanova’s upset of No. 3 Georgetown last week. He was in East Lansing on March 10th for the Spartans win over Northwestern.
Gavin Schilling, a 6-foot-9 senior forward from Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada, will choose between Michigan State, UCLA, Villanova and Minnesota this afternoon via his twitter account.
I will now be announcing my decision at 12 30 pm PST opposed to 11 15 am!!!!!

Schilling is a pro-typical Izzo recruit, showing combination of raw athleticism, a bevy of low-post moves, and the willingness to do the dirty work cleaning the glass while hustling for loose balls.
Schilling has chances to play early on substantial roles at UCLA and Villanova, unlike Michigan State due to Adreian Payne and Matt Costello. If Schilling chooses Izzo, he will be in great hands with a coach having great history developing big men. He did it with Derrick Nix, Payne, Draymond Green, Goran Suton and Paul Davis among many others. Schilling will decide today whether he wants to follow in their path as a Spartan.
