Cowboys Stadium Video Board Even More Ridiculous in Basketball Configuration

The HD video screen at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas is said to be the largest HD video screen in the world.

The 2,100 inch video board looks massive when compared to a football field (as can be seen in the photo to the right), but it’s downright crazy when placed above a basketball court. As you can clearly see in the photo above, the length of the screen far exceeds the length of the court.

The Michigan basketball team is in Arlington for the regional rounds of the NCAA Tournament (where they’ll play Kansas on Friday night at Cowboys Stadium) and hit the court today for their open practice. UM Hoops also has posted a photo gallery from the day, including another nice wide shot of the stadium.

After looking at all those pictures, I don’t know what’s tougher to imagine: watching a game from that sort of cavernous environment, or playing in it.
