Detroit Pistons Rookie Andre Drummond Returns From Injury, To Start Tonight

It has been a rough season for Detroit Pistons fans, especially with Andre Drummond missing 22 games due to a stress fracture in his back. Fortunately, Drummond will make his return from injury tonight against the Toronto Raptors and he will do so as a member of the starting lineup for the first time in his young career.

Drummond has had a big impact when in the game for the Pistons this season but the team has chosen to bring the 19-year old along slowly. Drummond appeared in 50 games off the bench before the injury, averaging just under 20 minutes per game. Lawrence Frank was set to make Drummond part of the starting lineup in February but the injury has delayed Drummond debut as a starter until tonight.

Tonight’s game also marks the first time Pistons point guard Jose Calderon will face the club that traded him back on January 30. Her are the details for tonight’s game:
