Lion fans did it, they voted Barry Sanders into the finals for Madden’s prestigious video game cover. Sanders took on Jerry Rice in the final four, edging him according to the Lions official website.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Houston Texans running back Arian Foster battle also came to a conclusion today. Peterson edged Foster, vaulting two great running backs to clash for the cover.

The winner will be revealed on SportsNation April 25, 5PM ET on ESPN2.

Sanders has now edged Marcus Allen, Ray Lewis and Joe Montana before taking down Jerry Rice.

Barry Sanders is widely proclaimed as the most elusive back of all-time. If not for a sudden retirement, it’s likely Sanders would’ve broke Walter Payton’s all-timecareer rushing mark (which was later broken by Emmitt Smith). Sanders ended hiscareer with 15,269 yards on 3,062 carries, falling just 1,457 yards away from the record.

Sanders showed his gratitude towards the Lions fan-base following his victory over Rice.

You can now vote for the finals here.
