Tim Hardaway Jr Will Leave Michigan Wolverines For NBA

It’s official, Tim Hardaway Jr will declare for the NBA.  The decision comes days after Trey Burke made the same decision.  Michigan Wolverines Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III are reportedly weighing their options as well.

The decision for Tim Hardaway Jr is a risky one.  Most mock drafts don’t even have the Michigan Wolverine guard going in the first round.  Players drafted in the first round of the NBA draft are normally offered guaranteed money. Players taken in later rounds typically don’t have guarantees. Hardaway has skills for be sure but lacks some of the consistency or explosives that are normally first round player qualities.
