Detroit Tigers 7  Houston Astros – 3  (14) – It took 14 innings for the Tigers to finish off the Astros.  They finally did it behind a bases loaded single by Don Kelly.  The Samoan Slugger Matt Tuiassosopo added more insurance runs to give the Tigers the victory.

Detroit Red Wings 4   Anaheim Ducks 3 – The Red Wings gave up a 3 goal lead late in the third period.  Nyquist scored in overtime to give the Red Wings an overtime victory to tie the series at 1-1.

Detroit Lions Need Immediate Impact From Draft Class via

General manager Martin Mayhew expects Ansah, as well as second-round pick Darius Slay and third-round selection Larry Warford, to have an immediate impact. It’s a much different spot than the Lions were in with their 2012 rookie class this time a year ago. The Lions put too much faith into 21-of-22 returning starters from the team’s 2011 playoff season. Returning all those starters afforded them the luxury of selecting players in the draft they could bring along a little slower and help develop.
