Red Wings Captain Henrik Zetterberg Wins Foundation Player Award

Today the National Hockey League awarded Red Wings Captain Henrik Zetterberg the Foundation Player award. According the NHL, the award is giving to the player  ”who applies the core values of hockey — commitment, perseverance and teamwork — to enrich the lives of people in his community.”

Through his foundation, Henrik Zetterberg hosts kids from local children’s hospitals in his suite and works with the Make A Wish Foundation. He has also worked with world organizations to provide clean water to communities in Africa.
