Calder Cup Final: Griffins 5  Crunch 2 - Red Wings affiliate Grands Rapid Griffins won the Calder Cup by taking the series against the Syracuse Crunch 4 game to 2. Gustav Nyqusit and Joakim Andersson combined for 5 goals and 10 assists since joined the team after the Detroit Red Wings were eliminated.

Detroit Tigers 2  Baltimore Orioles 5 - The Birds evened the score against the Tigers by taking Jusitn Verlander deep twice. The offense just couldn’t get it going against an Orioles pitcher they have dominated in the past. Daytime baseball tomorrow at Comerica.  Porcello gets the start.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Brennan Evans, who didn’t have a goal during the regular season for the Grand Rapids Griffins, scored the biggest in franchise history to give the Griffins their long-awaited first Calder Cup.
