The 2013 NBA draft had plenty of trades. One of them involved Michigan Wolverine Sophomore Guard Trey Burke. Trey Burke was selected #9 in the 2013 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves have a glut at point guard so it was a bit of suprise. Then it was revealed that the Timberwolves made the pick for the Utah Jazz in exchange for their #14 and #21.
The trade won’t be official until all the picks have been made, however it is probable Burke will be playing ball in Salt Lake City next season.
Trey Burke was projected to go as high as #2 but the top 5 teams surprised the draft by passing on both Nerlens Noel and Alex Len. The caused the guards in the draft to drop. The Pistons then surprised the draft by passing on Burke and drafting Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
