It is coming down to the wire as MLB All Star game voting concludes tomorrow, the fourth of July at 11:59pm.  It is a lock that at least one Tiger will be starting the mid-summer classic on July 16th.

Miguel Cabrera leads American League 3rd basemen with over 5.8 million votes.  The next closest 3rd basemen is Manny Machado with 2.7 million.  So barring a mriacle for the Orioles 3rd sacker Miguel Cabrera will be playing the hot corner for the American League All-Stars.

Prince Fielder trails the Orioles Chris Davis by roughly the same amount. Chris Davis is having a monster year and is in contention this season with Miguel Cabrera for the triple crown and AL MVP.

The race for the starting outfield spots is signifcantly tighter. Torii Hunter trails Tornonto’s Joey Bautista by just under 300,000 votes. a last minute push by Detroit Fans could put Torii over the top.

Fans are allowed to vote 25 times for their favorite all-stars in the balloting process.  If you would like to cast your vote for Torii Hunter or any of your favorite Tigers, Click here for the link MLB’s All-Star ballot. The final balloting will be announced along with the pitchers and reserves on the All-Star Selection Show Saturday July 6th at 6:30 on Fox.
