The latest Detroit Tigers MLB Trade Rumors are a sign that Mike Illitch and the Detroit Tigers are going all in.  After trading for a pair of Joses, the Tigers are still in talks for another bullpen arm. The team is said to be targeting San Francisco Giants left-handed pitcher Javier Lopez according to Danny Knobler of CBS.

According to sources, the Tigers have been in talks with the San Francisco Giants about their left handed hurler since Monday. However ESPN’s Buster Olney says the asking price for Lopez is really high.

The Tigers are in need of a left-left handed specialist with Phil Coke struggling and Drew Symly officially designated for the set-up role. Lopez has held left-handed batters to a .172 average in 2013 and would give Leyland a powerful weapon against big left handed bats for the stretch run.
