According to a tweet by Fox Sports Jon Morosi the Cleveland Indians are also in talks with the San Francisco Giants about lefty reliever Javier Lopez.

Lopez would be a dangerous weapon against the Tigers left-handed bats in the heat of a pennent chase.  With the Tiger and Indians in competition for Lopez the price for the left handed specialist is likely to sky rocket. Is it worth the price to keep Lopez away from the Tigers arch rival in the AL Central? If the Tigers and Mike Illitch are going all in, they might pay a big price for the additional bullpen help down the stretch.
