Detroit Lions vs. New England Patriots Final Score: Lions Devour Patroits 40-9

The Detroit Lions first teamers performed well against the Patriots tonight giving fans optimism for the upcoming season. Stafford improved from last week completing 12 out of 25 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. Although he did show improvment he still looked rusty and had trouble with accuracy.

The real story in this game was the Lions defense who forced 4 turnovers and pressured New England quarterback Tom Brady throughout the entire game.

Reggie Bush was spectacular catching passes in the flat and on screens and making Patriots miss on the way to racking up 106 yards receiving. Joique Bell was the rushing leader gaining 52 yards on 5 carries.

It was the tight ends got in the on action with touchdowns.  Tony Scheffler and Joesph Fauria both found the end zone.
