The Detroit Lions Roster continues to turnover as the trade with the Buffalo Bills became official this morning. The Lions have acquired linebacker Chris White from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for QB Thaddeous Lewis. White tweeted the trade yesterday:
Heading to Detroit! Looking forward to it!

The Bills have run into some bad luck this off-season by losing the top two quarterbacks on their depth chart to injury. The latest injury being to Kevin Kolb who is suffering from concussion symptoms.
The Lions claimed Thaddeous Lewis from waivers in May but after Kellen Moore’s performance in the last preseason game. (160 yards and 2 TD’s). It was clear Lewis was the odd man out.
This was a brilliant move by Martin Mayhew all the way around. Bringing Lewis in to challenge Moore and then getting value by trading him to a team with a need. Nice work by the Lions brass who seem to have more depth on the roster this season than any in recent memory. Now we just need to see roster moves like this one translate into wins on the field.
