The Buffalo Bills have not just been bitten by the injury bug, they have been devoured by it.  In fact they had to pull a couple of quarterbacks off of the scrap heap to even field an offense.  Earlier in the week, The Bills traded Linebacker Chris White to the Lions in exchange for Thaddeous Lewis. Then they pulled Matt Leinart off the street to give them three deep. These moves became necessary after draft pick EJ Manuel and Free Agent Kevin Kolb came up injured.

The Buffalo Bills injury issues played a factor in the blow-out as the Lions rolled to a 35-13 win.

A number of Detroit Lions players were still battling for a roster spot and used the final preseason game to make an impression.  Lions draftee Theo Riddick staked a claim on a running back spot by scoring two touchdowns on pass receptions from Kellen Moore.  Meanwhile,  Joique Bell continued his strong preseason by scoring a rushing touchdown and averaging 7 yards per carry.
