Michigan Wolverines VS Central Michigan Chippewas Preview, Start Time, TV And Radio

The Michigan Wolverines open up the season against the Central Michigan University Chippewas at the Big House on Saturday.  It is a pivitol season for the Wolverines who had a disappointing showing in their bowl game against South Carolina to end the 2012 season.  With Denard Robinson in the NFL, Brady Hoke can finally fully implement the pro-style offense that has brought him success in the past.

Central Michigan coach Dan Enos is definately on the Hot Seat.  The Chippewas ended their season with a Bowl victory in the Little Ceasers Pizza Bowl but have yet to return to the type of dominance experienced under Brain Kelly and Butch Jones.  Starting off against Michigan is tall order for Enos who needs every win he can get this season.

Wolverines To Watch

Devin Gardner has been predicted by some to be an early season favorite for the Maxwell Award.  That will depend a lot on his ability to get the ball to his receivers including tight end Devin Funchess, who figures to be a big part of the Wolverines offense this season.  It will be interesting to see how the Wolverines defense will perform without star linebacker and leader Jake Ryan who is still recovering from a knee injury.

Chippewas To Watch

The Chips have some offensive fire power going into the Michigan game with Running Back Zurlon Tipton, Quarterback Cody Kater and Receiver Titus Davis.  The trio can make big plays.  The key to getting big plays will be a balanced attack against what promises to be a stout Michigan defense.
