Eastern Michigan Eagles vs Howard Bison Final Score: EMU Beats Howard 34-24

The Eagles opened their season with a win against the Howard Bison with a 34-24 win.  The Eagles did win by 10 but they had to come back to do it.

Howard opened up an 11 point lead in the 2nd quarter Gre McGhee one yard run. After that the Eagles running game took over scoring three straight touchdowns on their way to a 34-24 win.

Tyler Benz was impressive to open the season racking up 210 yards passing with two touchdowns.  Bronson Hill was the star on the ground rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eastern Michigan defense struggled.  They gave up 384 yards of total offense in Ron English’s first game filling the roles of both head coach and defensive coordinator. Howard gained 202 yards on the ground with an average of 5.8 yards per carry.
