Michigan State Spartans v South Florida: Preview, Start Time, TV And More

The quarterback carousel will continue on Saturday when the Michigan State Spartans take on the South Florida Bulls in Spartan Stadium. Head coach Mark Dantonio is still undecided on who lead his offense this season. By putting all of his QB’s at#1 on the depth chart, Mark Dantonio is hoping to inspire one of them to emerge against the Bulls. Dantonio said he and the coaching staff have a good feel about who will start Saturday. But fans should expect a couple quarterbacks to see game action.

While it is unknown who will emerge as the Spartans signal caller, it would be preferable if that quarterback was Andrew Maxwell. Maxwell has more game experience and played in some big games last season. He did under-perform in his first year as the starter but if he can manage to hold down the job this year it would give the underclassmen beneath him on the depth chart an opportunity to mature.

Keys To a Spartan Victory

The Spartans are expected to beat South Florida but beware this game has got “trap” written all over it. The Bulls have nothing to lose and should be playing with a lot of energy. That could make it difficult for the Spartans if the offense sputters again.

Keys To South Florida Victory

This is a tough game for the Bulls to win on the road.  However if they can capitalize on mistakes by the Spartan offense they could have a chance.

Although this is the first meeting between the Spartans and Bulls, Mark Dantonio faced them three times as coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats.
