Eastern Michigan Eagles V Penn State Final Score: Penn State Wins 45-7

The Penn State Nittany Lions struggled offensively at times under freshman quarterback Christen Hackenberg but the Eagles failed to fully take advantage of the Penn States miscues and as a result lost in Happy Valley 45-7.

The only points of the game for Eastern Michigan came in the first quarter when Hunter Matt returned a mishandled snap by Christian Hackenberg for a touchdown. That score, made it a close game going into the half with EMU down by only 10 points, 17-7.  In the second half the Penn Stat offense found their rhythm and scored 28 unanswered points on their way to their second victory.

Despite being able to move the ball in the first quarter, Eagles quarterback Tyler Benz had trouble getting the offense going. The offense only managed to gain 183 total yards and failed to score any points.  After scoring 2 touchdowns and gaining over 100 yards last week Eagles running back Bronson Hill rushed for only 38 yards.
