After missing a portion of practice today, Reggie Bush spoke to the media and said he was optimistic about playing against the Redskins this Sunday. Reggie Bush took a knee on the helmet during the Lions loss to the Cardinals. He laid on the field in pain for a couple of minutes only to walk off under his own power. According to a Free Press story by Dave Birkett, Bush said his knee is feeling good and has been making progress this week.
The progress thus far since last Sunday has been really good. I feel a lot further than I expected. It feels a lot better than I thought it was going to feel, so I’m happy where it is right now. Today was a very positive day, so we’ll just see what happens tomorrow.”
It will be a team decision whether Reggie Bush can play for the Lions this Sunday. The Lions running back will likely be evaluated daily and the decision to let him play will probably occur at game time.
That’s why I say it’s going to be a collective decision, because if it were up to me, I would just say, ‘Yeah, I can play right now,’” Bush said. “But that’s the competitive side. I think that’s kind of what happened this last game, too. When I got injured, I probably should have stayed out of the game.”
Reggie Bush is currently listed as questionable for Sundays game against the Redskins.
