Detroit Lions V Green Bay Packers: Lions Lose 22-9

The Detroit Lions had a golden opportunity in Green Bay on Sunday and blew it. The Green Bay Packers defeated the listless Lions 22-9.

The Lions entered the game without their star receiver Calvin Johnson who missed the game with a knee injury.  Without Johnson, the offense struggled scoring just a single touchdown and two field goals. The Lions were able to move the ball but shot themselves in the foot with penalties.

The defense held up well but could not get enough pressure on Aaron Rodgers to make any kind of impact. They were also on the field more than the offense as the Packers dominated time of possession.

If there was a positive it was the lack of turnovers.  Stafford had 40 pass attempts without throwing an interception. However he was sacked 5 times which limited his ability to get the ball down field.
