NBA GM Survey: Detroit Pistons Are Most Improved Team

The annual NBA GM survey was revealed and the Detroit Pistons were voted most improved.

The Pistons got 16.7% of the vote with Brooklyn, Cleveland, Houston, Minnesota, New Orleans and Washington all tieing for second.

The Detroit Pistons recently defeated the Washington Wizards at the Palace 99-96.

Two current Pistons players were also recognized during the annual survey.

The NBA Executives gave Andre Drummond 10.3% of the vote in the category of “player most likely to have a breakout season”. He finished second behind The New Orleans Pelicans Anthony Davis who got 27.6% of the vote.

Chauncey Billups got recognized for his leadership abilities and was chosen as the “player most likely to make a good NBA coach“. Mr. Big Shot got 32.1% of the vote finishing ahead of Clippers guard Chris Paul.

San Antonio’s Greg Popovich nearly swept all coaching categories but there a few former Pistons coaches who finished in the top three in most categories.

Rick Carlisle finished second for making in-game adjustments. Lawrence Frank and Alvin Gentry were identified among the best assistants in the NBA.
