The Detroit Lions visit Solider Field in Chicago to take on the Bears on Sunday. The game is a key match-up in the NFC North. If the Lions win they put themselves in contention for the division with two division games at home remaining on the schedule.
A Lions victory would mean a season sweep of the Bears, something that hasn’t occurred in…….well…….forever.
Bears starting quarterback Ja Cutler will start on sun day after missing four weeks with a groin injury. Th Bears are rushing to Cutler to the field in this high stakes contest in hopes of sparking the offense. No one could benefit more from Cutler’s return than WR Brandon Marshall. Marshall could have a big day against a suspect Lions secondary.
The Detroit Lions are coming off of their bye week relatively healthy. Despite practicing all week, WR Nate Burleson will the game in Chicago. Burelson’s broken arm is almost healed but the Lions don’t want to risk any further set backs.
On the other hand Calvin Johnson is healthy. In fact he was not listed on the injury report for the first time this season. Johnson could have a big day against a bears defense designed to stop the run.
