Detroit Lions V Chicago Bears: Keys To The Game, Live Stream Link

The Detroit Lions face the Chicago Bears in a pivotal NFC North match-up.  On the line are tie breakers for both the division and conference.  The outcome of this could determine whether or not the Lions will be playing for the division on Thanksgiving against Green Bay.

So what do the Detroit Lions need to do to win the game?

Pressure the Passer

It seems every week we are talking about the defensive line every week and this week in no exception.  Because the secondary is the weakest point in the defense the D-line must pressure Jay Cutler the entire game. Cutler is just returning from a groin injury so it will be important to force him out of the pocket and not let Cutler get into a rhythm.

Dink and Dunk

The Bears have a stout run defense.  In order to get Reggie Bush and Joique Bell involved in the offense, Matt Stafford needs to be effective in the short passing game.  If the offense can execute quick slants and screens it will keep the Bears D-line on their heals and could open up running lanes later in the game.

Megatron Early And Often

Getting Calvin Johnson involved early in this game will help stretch the defense and open up passing lanes in the middle of the field.
