MLB Trade Rumors: Doug Fister Could Be Traded

How can you tell the Hot Stove league has begun? 3 of your 5 starting pitchers are mentioned in trade rumors, that’s how.

The latest rumor comes from Jon Morosi and it involves Doug Fister.  Morosi tweeted this out Wednesday evening:

The Tigers have made not a secret about wanting to have Drew Symly in the rotation next season.  Now it seems they are throwing Doug Fister’s name in the mix as possible trade bait. It makes sense for the Tigers to move one of their starters.  The Tigers have six or seven viable starters (if you count Alvarez).

Doug Fister served as the Tigers number 4 pitcher last year but has the stuff to be a top of the rotation guy.  A team may be willing to part with some top prospects or a mid-tier major league player for Fisters services.  and as Jon Morosi mentioned he has been pretty good in the postseason.
