There was extra attention paid to the Detroit Lions Week 11 Injury Report, thanks to Adam Shefter. Earlier in the Week ESPN’s Adam Shefter tweeted about Nate Burleson’s status for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Lions do not plan to play WR Nate Burleson on Sunday vs. Pittsburgh despite fact that he is practicing and feels recovered from broken arm.

When asked about the reports, Head Coach Jim Schwartz snapped at reporters about believing everything you read on twitter saying in today’s media a report can “come from anybody.”
Maybe Shefter let the cat out of the bag too early and ruined a Schwartz smoke screen but Nate Burleson (Forearm) is listed on the injury report….as doubtful. In fact you can probably bet that Burleson won’t see the field and be listed as inactive come game time.
Burleson says he is ready to go and his forearm feels fine but the Lions are playing it safe and not in any hurry to put him in harm’s way.
Ziggy Ansah (Ankle), who was a scratch for last weeks game has been moved to questionable for the game in Pittsburgh.
Others listed on the Detroit Lions Week 11 Injury Report are:
- Reggie Bush – Probable (Knee)
- Louis Delmas – Probable (Knee)
- Calvin Johnson – Probable (Knee)
- Corey Hillard – Questionable (Knee)
- Bill Bentley – Doubtful (Knee)
- Montel Owens – Out (Knee)
