Detroit Lions V Green Bay Packer Preview, Start Time, Live Stream

The Detroit Lions face off against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field. The game has the higher stakes attached to it than any other Thanksgiving game in the last ten years. The winner of this game will likely be in the drivers seat to win the divison.  The loser will struggle to make the playoffs.

These teams clearly don’t like each other and the perception that the Lions are a dirty team is fueling the hatred.  That was made apparent when Green Bay Packer Guard Josh Sitton called the Lions defensive line and coaches “scumbags”.

The Lions go into the game relatively healthy with the only question mark being Chris Houston who suffered a foot injury during the Lions 24-21 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers will be missing a big player on offense.  Aaron Rodgers will likely miss the Thanksgiving Day game while recovering from a broken collar bone. However don’t be surprised if Rodgers is active and assuming the back-up role for the game with the Lions.  A loss in the game could effectively end the Packers playoff hopes; so Rodgers could get in the game in a desperation move if he is active.

With playoff tiebreakers and division standing on the line, Fans can expect one of the most exciting Thanksgiving games in years. So make sure you grab you plate of Turkey and place yourself in front of the TV in time for the 12:30 kick-off.  You won’t want to miss a second of this one.
