The Michigan State Spartans have move to #10 in the latest AP after defeating the Minnesota Golden gophers on Saturday. The 14-3 victory over the gophers gave the Michigan State Spartans 8-0 mark in Big Ten Play this season. That marks the third time in school history that the Spartans have gone undefeated in Big Ten play.
This weeks AP poll saw all the winners in the Top 15 move up at least one spot. The biggest movers were downward. Alabama dropped from #1 to #4 after their loss to Auburn. The biggest loser was Clemson who dropped 7 spots to #13 after a blow-out loss to South Carolina.
Florida State took over the #1 spot after blowing out Florida. Other teams ahead of Michigan State include: Missouri, Oklahoma State, Stanford, South Carolina and Baylor.
The Michigan State Spartans next opponent, Ohio State Buckeyes, also moved up in the poll. Ohio State moved to #2 after escaping Ann arbor with a win, inching closer to a berth in the National Championship game.
Both team will be smelling roses when they meet in the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Game time is 8:30 pm and you can catch it on Fox.
