It has been 15 years since the Wolverines have won in Madison, Wisconsin.  A streak that illustrates just how hard it is to win on the road in the Big Ten.

The Michigan Wolverines last trip to Wisconsin left a bitter taste in their mouth. Big Blue got beat on a half court buzzer beater last season, a loss that cost them the Big Ten championship. A big black mark on an otherwise spectacular season.

Tonight the Wolverines have a chance to get payback.  The Badgers (16-1) are ranked #3 and just one game behind Michigan for second in the Big Ten.  The Badgers are 3-1 in the B1G with their loss coming at the hands of the coming at the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers on Tuesday.

A Wolverines win could end up costing the Badgers a shot at the regular season championship in a league where the margin of error is razor-thin.

The game in Madison is the first of a season defining 3 game stretch of games that includes the #3 Badgers, #14 Iowa Hawkeyes and #4 Michigan State Spartans.

Michigan Basketball has been hot as of late.  Despite the loss of star forward Mitch McGary, the Wolverines are on a five game win streak.  Much of the credit for that streak can be given to guard Caris LeVert who has averaged 11.5 points per game in place of the departed Trey Burke.

Tip off at the Kohl Center is at 6:00 pm.  You can catch the game on ESPN.
