Video: Detroit Red Wings Comeback On Crazy Goal By Niklas Kronwall

The Red Wings got a much need win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday thanks to a crazy goal.  The goal came in the third period when Niklas Kronwall’s shot was blocked, deflected off of a camera line and then off of goalie Johnathan Quick’s back to send the game to overtime.

In overtime Tomas Tatar was the hero getting the puck past Johnathan Quick in a shootout to get the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 victory.

It was a much-needed win for the Wings who were having trouble finding the net over the last week.  Injuries has decimated the line-up again and with spark plug Tomas Tatar out of the line-up the Wings offense has been lifeless.

But Saturday’s game against the Kings marked Tatar’s return to the line-up and a return of the Red Wing offense. Tatar’s return also helped to inspire Henrik Zetterberg who netted his first goal in weeks in the second period. It was Zetterberg’s 15th goal in a season The Red Wings and Swedish team captain has been struggling with a bad back.

Tatar is back in the line-up just in time for a clash with the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks.The Wings host Chicago at Joe Louis Arena for the first time since being eliminated by them in the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Blackhawks are 31-8 and are second only to the Anahiem Ducks in the Western Conference.  The puck drops at 8:00 pm and you can catch the game on the NBC Sports Network.
