Big Ten Basketball: Michigan Wolverines Face Tough Test Vs Iowa Hawkeyes

After defeating #3 Wisconsin on Saturday the Michigan Wolverines find themselves ranked #21 in the latest AP poll.  They will have the chance to improve that ranking when they meet the #10 Iowa Hawkeyes at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor tonight.

The Hawkeyes have been this seasons version of Cinderella, coming out of nowhere to put themselves in contention for the Big Ten Title. The Hawkeyes (4-1 in the Big Ten) are just one game behind Michigan for the second place in the conference.

The Hawkeyes have a nice post-up combination. Senior guard Roy Devyn Marble is averaging 16.3 points and 3.3 assists per game. In the paint, the Hawkeyes have Aaron White as the low post scoring option.  White is averaging 14 points per game and shooting 65%.

Michigan Wolverines Guards Nik Stauskas and Caris LeVert are becoming a dangerous scoring combination for big blue. Stauskas leads the duo and is atop the conference in scoring.

The Hawkeyes are one of the best rebounding teams in the country. In order to win the Wolverines are going to need big games from Jon Horford and Jordan Morgan to control the glass and keep the Iowa big men off of it.

The Michigan Wolverines jump against the Iowa Hawkeyes at Crisler arena starting at 7:00 pm.  You can catch the game on the Big Ten network.
