The Detroit Pistons (17-25) host the New Orleans Pelicans (16-25) at the palace tonight.  The Pelicans come in to the game having lost 5 of 6 and without Jrue Holiday

The Pelicans still feature Anthony Davis who is quickly developing into an NBA Superstar. Davis is averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds and will be the latest test of the Detroit front court.

The Pistons are reeling after two consecutive straight losses the latest of which came at the hands of the Eastern Division basement dweller Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks loss coupled with a home loss to the Utah Jazz on January 17th have fans questioning the make-up of the Pistons roster. The Jazz and Bucks are considered two of the worst teams in the NBA.

The Pistons go into the game tonight one game behind the Charlotte Bobcats for the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference.

Projected Starting Line-ups

Detroit Pistons:

Guard Branden Jennings, Guard Kentavious-Caldwell Pope, Forward Greg Monroe, Center Andre Drummond, Forward Josh Smith

New Orleans Pelicans:

Guard Brian Roberts, Guard Eric Gordon, Forward Al-Farouq, Center Greg Steimsma,  Forward Anthony Davis,

The Pistons tip-off against the Bobcats tonight at the Palace starting at 7:30 pm.  You can catch the game on Fox Sports +.
