2014 NFL Draft: Michigan Wolverine Taylor Lewan To Attend

The green room for the 2014 NFL draft will be crowded this year.  30 top draft prospects will attend the draft. Former Michigan Wolverine Taylor Lewan will be one of them and join the other prospects pretending not to notice they are on TV.

It is a lock for Lewan to be taken in the first round. Th only question is when Lewan will cross the stage for the traditional handshake with the commission.

Taylor Lewan’s draft projections have been all over the board. The first set of mock drafts released by the experts had Lewan slotted as a mid to late first round pick. However, after an impressive combine some experts have now slated Lewan as a top 10 pick.

Lewan thinks he should be the first round pick and said as much during a radio interview with Scott Van Pelt.

“My work ethic, my nutrition, everything I do not only on the field but off the field (is) second to none,” Lewan responded. “I like to take a man from point A to Point B against his will and put him in the dirt every single time. My job is not to get the glory, my job is not to do anything like that. “My job is to keep my quarterback safe in every single situation and make sure my running backs are in a position to get yards.”

Some experts are predicting Lewan to be available when the Lions pick at #10 fueling speculation that Martin Mayhew could select a player with a home town connection.
