The Monday night match-up is the first of three national games on the schedule this season.  The other two October 26th when the Lions play in London and on Thanksgiving Day.

Hosting the first monday night game of the season will give the Detroit Lions a chance to impress pundits and establish themselves as one of the NFL’s up and coming teams.
