The wish that Henrik Zetterberg would be ready for the playoffs appears one step closer to being granted. Zetterberg had a full practice today with his Red Wings teammates getting reps with the first team power play and skating on a line with Pavel Datsyuk according to tweets from beat writer Ansar Khan.
But a full practice doesn’t guarantee Henrik Zetterberg will play. Babcock made clear after practice that the decision about Zetterberg’s status is out of his hands.
Babcock on Zetterberg: “The doctors decide, not me. We’re hopeful. It’ll be game time.”

Those comments seem to reveal that if Zetterberg is cleared he will play for the Wings tonight.
But should he?
The Wings are down in the series 2-1 to Boston and judging by Tuesday’s performance it may not help if Zetterberg is on the ice or not.
The other thing to consider is that Zetterberg will not be anywhere near full strength after missing the last two months of the season. If he is able to go tonight his presence will be more emotional than physical.
