Finally the Detroit Tigers get to play some division games. Tonight the Tigers take on the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular field in the first of four games.

This is a key early season series for the Tigers.  The White Sox are just 4.5 games behind Detroit going into tonight’s game.

The Sox are in the midst of a 3 game losing streak and look to get well at home against a Tiger team that has struggle of late.

Players To Watch

Miguel Cabrera left Sunday’s game against Boston with a tight hamstring.  He is listed as day-to-day and there is no word how the injury might impact his playing time.

The starting rotation has been terrible as of late so it will be interesting to see if they can get well against the White Sox.  The tigers have a chance to get off on the right foot tonight when Rick Porcello takes the mound.  Porcello was 3-0 last season at U.S. Cellular Field.

Jose Abreu started the season strong actually leading the league in home runs early in the season.  But after a brief stint on the DL Abreu’s power stroke has yet to return.
