NBA Draft: Michigan State Guard Gary Harris Projected To Boston Celtics

With the 2014 NBA Draft minutes away ESPN insider published his final mock draft. If this mock draft holds true Michigan State Spartan guard Gary Harris won’t even have to change his uniform color.

Chad Ford has Gary Harris going #17 to the Boston Celtics. Harris has been dropping in the draft projections this week but it has nothing to do with his skill set. This is what chad ford ha to say about Gary Harris:

Harris’ lack of size seems to be the thing dropping him in the draft. But he’s one of the few two-way players in this draft, the Celtics looked hard at him at No. 6. Hard for them to pass on him here.

The Celtics will need a guard of the future if they end up trading Rajon Rondo. Rumors have persisted this week that Rondo would be traded for a lottery pick in this years draft.  In fact the Detroit Pistons would have indirectly benefited from one of the rumors by sending Josh Smith to the Sacramento Kings.

The NBA talking heads are predicting a volatile draft this year so don’t be surprised to see a deal involving Rondo before the night is over. Especially if Boston is looking to draft a guard with a similar game.
