The DJC Morning Drive turns it attention to the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.  After some big announcements over the weekend that had Tiger fans cheering the team on the field had the fans reeling.

The Tigers dropped 3 of 4 games to the Tampa Bay over the weekend leaving fans wondering if the streaky Tigers have what it takes to compete in the playoffs.  But the play-offs shouldn’t be a problem right with three all-stars on the team.

More from Detroit Tigers

Lets take a look at what media and bloggers from around the web had to say about our Tigers All-Stars and playoff chances.

From the Freep: Detroit Tiger All Stars!

"The trio’s selections were announced tonight and could include another name or two by the time the American League All-Star team arrives in Minnesota next week. The All-Star Game is on July 15 at Target Field."

From the Freep:  Detroit Tigers Will Be Cautious with Victor Martinez

"Martinez missed part of the Tampa Bay series because of his sore back and side. The organization is proud that Martinez made the All-Star team, but his health is a concern. If Martinez isn’t healthy by next Tuesday’s All-Star Game, the Tigers likely would have the designated hitter sit it out."
